A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

In case you’ve got a Linux website hosting package with our company and you would like to enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox that you’ve got in your web hosting account, it will take literally only a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can choose one address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature right away, so all email messages sent to misspelled addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will show a warning message and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox effortlessly even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
